Diffuse dysmyelinating leukodystrophies is also a hallmark of several metabolic diseases but more specifically to Krabbe Disease and metachromatic leukodystrophy. This is an MRI of Krabbe Disease, in which the leukodystrophy can be seen as all the white, which is abnormal myelination of the brain tissue. This is metachromatic leukodystrophy. The normal brain should not look as white as this. This is pathognomonic - a good neuroradiologist can give you the diagnosis just by looking at these MRIs if they have the right history that goes along with this MRI.
