Acute and intermittent pain syndromes are very common in LSDs. The most common pain syndromes are observed in Gaucher Disease due to the bone pains, the bone crises. They are chronic and they can be very disabling, they are most commonly found between the ages of 8 and 35 years. They tend to involve the femoral and the humeral subchondral areas, and they can be painless to the children so the children can present to the pediatrician with just a limp and they are often misdiagnosed with Legg-Calve-Perthes disease which they continue to carry on their list of diseases.
