MPSs are genetic diseases

Seven different mucopolysaccharidosis are described - MPS 1, 2, 3 with four subtypes, 4, 6, 7 and 9, mostly named after the doctor who first reported the specific disease. These are inherited disorders. These are genetic diseases, and most of them are autosomal recessive however MPS 2, Hunter’s syndrome, is x-linked inherited.
